CrossFit Box Hill for me is very special as it has helped me in so many ways. It’s the people in CrossFit Box Hill which make this place so special, not just the coaches, but the fellow athletes that cheer each other on, especially when you think you cant move another step, so thank you so much for welcoming me with open arms and making me a part of the CrossFit Box Hill family.
Special mention to the Coach’s though, they have always been there to support and answer my thousands and thousands of nagging questions. They are a very knowledgeable and a very supportive team. ~ Rana
From the Coach
I remember Rana’s first day walking into CrossFit Box Hill.
He originally wanted to do Personal Training because he did not believe he was at a level of fitness to participate in the group classes. I suggested he try a few sessions and if it did not suit him to move to personal training.
In Rana’s first week he could not run the full 400m so we would send him to the 200m mark which was challenging. He started off squatting to a 20 inch box as he didn’t have the mobility/ strength to achieve the desired range of motion.
12months down now and Rana has absolutely smashed everything. He is 32kg’s lighter and can achieve a full range of motion squat plus an array of other movements once thought impossible. Rana is now set to compete in his first Competition in April 2015.
Rana is a joy to coach, always very upbeat (except smack bang in the middle of a WOD) and i can’t wait to see his future improvements.
